What's happening in your body
When pressure doesn't let up, the part of your nervous system built for short emergencies stays switched on. Muscles brace, breath gets shallow, sleep gets light, and the body stops getting the signal that it's safe to rest. More effort doesn't fix it, because effort is the mode you're stuck in.
Slow, intentional touch is one of the few inputs that reaches that system directly. The session is designed to give your body room to recalibrate, not to force it.
How the session works
We talk first about what brought you in and what your body is holding today. Then the work is slow and intuitive: guided breath, stretching, emotional presence and trauma-informed care, weaving together into a full-body session that releases tension, improves circulation and restores balance.
You can talk or stay quiet. If anything feels uncomfortable, say so; anything you don't like is an easy adjustment.
Your first visit, and what comes after
New clients begin with the Initial Assessment and Treatment, 75 minutes, so we build a plan instead of guessing. From there, most people come every two to four weeks for the 90-minute Therapeutic Bodywork Session. After each visit I email what we worked on and text a few days later to check in.
