Before you arrive

Come well hydrated and wear comfortable clothing. A light meal beforehand is fine; nothing heavy.

The building has two parking lots. Use the one closest to the Water Gardens, and feel free to park in a reserved spot, since most of my sessions run longer than an hour.

When you walk in

You'll be greeted by the front desk concierge. Let them know you're here for Reconnect Massage Therapy and they'll direct you to my suite. My studio is Suite 115.

You'll walk into a small waiting area with two seats. I'll be there to greet you, and I'll guide you into the studio where we'll do the massage.

The conversation first

Once we're in the studio, we go over your intake form together, in detail. This is where you tell me what you're hoping to get out of the session, any concerns you have, and any previous experience with bodywork. I'll ask what brings you in specifically, what you want to focus on, and we'll go through your history.

Then I'll explain what I think is best for the session. I'll ask about what you like and what you don't like. The goal is to make sure the session is tailored to you in every way you need.

During the session

You undress only to your comfort level, and you're draped the whole time. We're more than welcome to talk during the session if you'd like, or not. If anything feels uncomfortable, please tell me. Anything you don't like is an easy adjustment, and I'm more than happy to make it.

The work itself is slow and intuitive, with guided breath, stretching and attention to how your nervous system is responding, rather than aggressive pressure.

After

When the session is complete, I'll leave the room so you can get dressed and get your bearings back. Please take your time. There's water for you, and I'd encourage you to drink before and after.

When you're ready, open the door. I'll be waiting for you, and we'll go back in together to talk about how you're feeling. What did you enjoy? What didn't you like? Anything that comes to mind. I take notes before and after every session.

We'll talk about when it makes sense for you to come back and which session I think would benefit you most.

The follow-up

After you leave, I'll send you an email covering what we went over, what you said you wanted to work on, and what I noticed. A few days later I'll text to see how you're feeling, whether you're still feeling relief or something hurts, and if we need to, we move your next session closer.

Common questions

Do I need a diagnosis or a referral?

No. Anyone dealing with stress, tension, pain, poor sleep or just a body that will not settle can book. The assessment is where we figure out what will help.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing. Once we are in the studio you undress only to your comfort level, and you are draped the whole time.

Should I eat before?

A light meal beforehand is good, nothing heavy. Come well hydrated, and drink water after. I keep water in the studio for you.

Can I talk during the session, or ask you to change something?

Yes to both. We can talk during the session if you like, and if anything feels uncomfortable, say so. Anything you do not like is an easy adjustment and I am happy to make it.

What if I need to cancel?

Please give 24 hours notice by call, text or email so the time can go to someone else. Cancellations inside 24 hours and no-shows are charged the full session price. If an emergency comes up, reach out as soon as you can and I will do my best to accommodate.

Is there a restroom?

Yes, just outside the studio.

New here?

Every new client starts with an assessment and treatment.

75 minutes, $150. We talk through what brings you in, then I treat what we find, and you leave with a plan instead of a guess.
